Jam Factory

The Jam factory on the other hand is likely to appeal to a younger age group, and in particular those still at school (photo unfortunately was taken in school hours). I personally spent much of my teen years growing up here because it is a child-friendly environment in which parents trust. The building includes Village cinemas showing the blockbuster hits, and a standard food court consisting of predominantly fast food stores, attracting a younger age group seeking cheap and tasty food regardless of the health content. Moreover, the shops in the area consist of those cheaper, mass-produced, importing chain stores such as Topshop/Man, Cotton On etc, targeting a mainstream audience. Street Art is minimal in this area as it is a well built and established environment, that doesn’t cater much for individualism or freedom of expression.
