Stop Two - People of all Colours
Text
This artwork depicts a group of faceless people standing together, with some of them holding signs up in the air as if to represent a protest. The mural, from my interpretation, seems to convey the idea that no matter who you are or what colour your skin is, together everyone will unite to stand up for equal rights. In my eyes, the artist intends to represent social issues concerning racial injustice, and illustrate the communities changing views (for the positive) towards different skin colour. However, my interpretation has also been influenced by the multi-cultural environment in which the artwork is placed, where White Australian, Indigenous, Asian, Spanish, Latin American, African and Hispanic citizens live amicably together.
