3rd Stop: Hosier Lane

Hosier Lane is an iconic laneway in Melbourne where street artists can spray paint legally. In this photo, you can see the several different layers of graffiti because artwork is constantly being gone over at this iconic spot. Since it is legal, people are consistently spray-painting during the day and night new and innovative artworks. It is always a fun place to come back to because you will always find something new. If you were a street artist, would you want to do some of your best work on Hosier Lane if you knew there was a big chance it would be written over? Also if you look up at one of the buildings, you can see another piece done by the AWOL crew, which was funded by the government. There are a lot of similarities to their first work at the Queen Victoria Market.
