A fun venue that is often playing reggae long into the night, Monkeys is something of an underrated gem, but always rewarding to those who head inside. If you are looking for the best experience, head in on a Friday afternoon, when everyone is looking to unwind after a long work week.

Another hidden gem is found just around the corner in Anchor Place. Not nearly as renowned as it deserves, Anchor Place features several recognisable murals, including Walter White (from Breaking Bad) and a large depiction of a science fiction battle. Also, there is a subtly located piece by Melbourne artist Junky, which seems to have picked up a nicotine addiction thanks to locals.
