As you arrive at Greville St and move further along Chapel and the backstreets, you will observe a gradual transition to individual boutique, vintage and opp shops, book and music stores and a “huge number of cool bars and clubs intermixed with funky cafes.”[1]Greville St was once the center of Melbourne’s hippie community, and the blog It’s now Cool now defines Prahan and Windsor as the ‘grungy’ end of Chapel St, attracting young adults who spend a large proportion of their income on socializing with friends and interested in current issues. On the footpath there is an interesting stencil artwork by an unknown artist that provokes social and political thoughts regarding children’s welfare, the future, war, democracy and freedom, which may appeal to the interests of local residents and visitors.
